Frequently Asked Questions

We’re upgrading Nexus to improve security, reliability, and overall performance when accessing Nexus services.

Most users will not notice any change. However, if you use certain on-premises hosted products that connect to Nexus, you may need to update to a newer version.

If you use WORKNC, ESPRIT EDGE, DESIGNER, EDGECAM, or VISI, please make sure you are on a supported version.

Supported versions:

  • WORKNC 2025.4 or later
  • ESPRIT EDGE 2025.4 or later
  • DESIGNER 2025.4 or later
  • EDGECAM 2026.1 or later
  • VISI 2025.4 or later

Older versions may not be able to connect to Nexus after the update.

  • Please keep an eye out for product updates, as they may include important details about changes and any steps you may need to take before or after the upgrade.
  • Check your current product versions & look to update to the latest supported version.
  • Log in to Nexus to ensure your account is up to date - if required, reset your password.

If you use an on‑premises product that connects to Nexus, your product will continue to run locally as normal. However, if it’s not updated to a version that supports the new authentication system, its ability to connect to Nexus services will be affected, and any Nexus‑dependent features may stop working.

Cloud‑native applications are not affected by this change and will continue to run normally.

To avoid disruption and ensure full access to Nexus services, we recommend updating your product to a supported, HxAuth‑compatible version.

Most users do not need to change their login details e.g. password.
However, if you have not logged into Nexus since 30 September 2025, you may be prompted to reset your password when you first login. This is a one‑time step.

If you experience any issues updating or accessing Nexus, please reach out to your product’s support team or email nexus.support@hexagon.com for assistance.
