These FAQs provide a quick overview of how entitlements work in Nexus—helping you understand who gets access to what, how permissions are set, and what to do if something doesn’t look right. Perfect for users who are just getting started.

Frequently Asked Questions

You can view and manage your organization’s entitlements in the Organization Management area, under the 'Software & Apps' tab.

If the 'Software & Apps' tab is not visible to you, it means you don't have the required 'Administrator' permissions to view and manage entitlements on behalf of your organization.

Only users with Administrator permissions can view and manage entitlements for their organization.

Entitlements are managed through the Account Management area in Nexus. Administrators can assign or update access at either the user level or the entitlement level.

Managing entitlements at the user level
This option is best when you want to assign or adjust entitlements for an individual user.

  1. Go to the Members tab.
  2. Select the user you want to update.
  3. Click Manage Entitlements.
  4. Select or deselect the entitlements you want to assign to that user.

Managing entitlements at the entitlement level
This is useful when you need to assign multiple users to the same entitlement.

  1. Go to the Software & Apps tab.
  2. Select the entitlement you want to manage.
  3. Select or deselect the users you wish to assign to that entitlement.

All changes take effect immediately, and only Administrators can perform these actions.

You can remove a user's access to products at any time from the Account Management area. Administrators can make changes either at the user level or at the entitlement level, depending on what’s most efficient for the situation.

Removing entitlements at the user level
Use this method when you want to update entitlements for a specific user.

  1. Go to the Members tab.
  2. Select the user you want to update.
  3. Click Manage Entitlements.
  4. Deselect the entitlement(s) you want to remove from that user.

Removing entitlements at the entitlement level
This approach is helpful when removing multiple users from the same entitlement.

  1. Go to the Software & Apps tab.
  2. Select the entitlement you want to manage.
  3. Deselect the users you want to remove from that entitlement.

Changes are applied immediately, and only Administrators have permission to remove users or devices from entitlements.

If you’re unable to access a product or solution, or something you expect to use isn’t available to you, it’s likely that the required entitlement hasn’t been assigned to your account. Please contact your organisation’s Administrator, who is responsible for granting and adjusting access for all users.
