ALP_TRG112:
A one-day course introducing the methods used to generate finalised toolpaths for NC code generation. Starting with three methods of tool creation and the configuration of a 2D drawing for correct location for manufacture, tool side options and start points to suit correct machining. Comprehensive machining cycle application including Pocketing for area clearance, Rough & Finish profiling, Drilling and 3D Engraving.

Introduction to the Course
Explanation of what is to happen on the day.
Materials File
Opening the Mmat/Rmat.dat file | Explanation of its function | File Configuration and editing
Tooling Library
Explanation of its function and directory structure | Explanation of Tool categories and types | Tutored tool creation of Standard and User defined tools.
Program Production
Process Planning
Discussion of the Process Planning from the CAD example notes.
Amended as appropriate for the group.
Geometry Preparation
In accordance with the planning, set the appropriate tool directions.
Reposition the start points (use quadrant point snapping).
Tutored Examples Style Plate and Housing Plate
Discussions at each stage as to dialog box values and options, and mouse.
Toolpath creation Exercises User Driven
Using the sample part geometry examples trainee to plan and apply toolpaths to the geometry examples with tutored guidance.
Training Course Conclusion.
The tutor will answer any questions arising from the online test. Issue of certificates.
Trainees will be required to complete the online training course evaluation to provide feedback which will allow Alphacam Training to enhance future learners experience.
The training course content is subject to variation due to the differing learning abilities and the prerequisite knowledge of the attendees on each course.
